Shockingly, you have asked a Frequently Asked Question:

$ perldoc -q "script"
Found in /opt/perl/lib/5.6.1/pod/perlfaq1.pod
Is it a Perl program or a Perl script?
use strict;

What does this have to do with your question?

I'm sure the nice people at Symantec are much too busy with viruses to worry
about you...

Matt
I'm pretty sure every company I worked for worried about the code I wrote for them,
after they canned me. Some even extended contracts for 2 years (while I twiddled my
thumbs) just to find someone who understood it or willing to take it on.
Symantec would be no different, nor McAfee, nor Microsoft.
You figure it out.

I'm sure that same worry about quality is what lost you the job, too.

No doubt. And I'm sure those people whose contracts where extended cursed
your bad code every day.

You're unemployable?

You may be right Matt...
Cube life may not be for me. In the 10 billion dollar companies,
your a piece of shit. There is no sway that you can provide with your
presence, that can alter a goddamned thing. The powers that be view your
prescence as momentary. Your paid salary is the single most factor as to wheather
you leave the company or not. It's not your 'miracle code'. What I did was to give
'miracle code' that does miracles and made it especially hard to understand.
I've been in this biz for a long time dude. I've seen genius' fired left and right.
Was on the phone a couple of days ago. The fact is that its a hire untill you
write the code, then your fired! Thats the facts dude. If you don't understand that,
you must not be in the industry!

Do you work as a proffesional?
