tell whether it is mod_ruby or not

there usually is mod_perl or mod_php installed with the webservers... i
wonder if ruby works, is there a way to tell whether it is a newly
spawned process every time, or is it built in as mod_ruby?

First you have to tell if it's Ruby, assuming you're on the client
side

Otherwise, you should check the web server config.
