TextChanged in Datalist(URGENT)

Hi,
Please can some one help me???
and let me know whether it is possible or not????

I have a Datalist, in template column I have a textBox.
User will enter the data in textbox.I need to update the data in the Database.

I dont have Edit Command or Update Command for the DataList???/

If I write it in the text changed event how will I know the index or row id
of DataList???

Again My question is How will I update the data from template column of
textbox
in to the database without Edit Command or UpDate command in datalist.

Any help can be appreciated.
