Hey Barry,

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think threads are OS-dependant, hence nothing to
be with this newsgroup. If you're going to use POSIX threads, you can
take a look at:

Standard C, which is what we discuss here, has no threads.

There's a comp.programming.threads newsgroup. I don't know whether
such a basic and open-ended question is going to be welcome there.
Try following the newsgroup for a while, and check whether they have a
FAQ list posted somewhere.

If you wish to be taken seriously, don't use silly abbreviations like
"cud", "u", and "ur".

Finally, a bit of advice that you may or may not need (it's hard to
tell, since I don't think I've seen you post a followup yet):

If you want to post a followup via groups.google.com, don't use
the broken "Reply" link at the bottom of the article. Click on
"show options" at the top of the article, then click on the
"Reply" at the bottom of the article headers.

I believe that thread is a OS-level concept. No common C API of threading.
