To SOAP or Not To SOAP?

All:

I have a single server/multiple client application where the clients are
scattered over the Internet. I would like to SEND messages from the server
to the client via HTTP without having each client request information.

Is SOAP a candidate for this application or is SOAP exclusively a pull
technology?

Its great, as long as you want to spend the next six months of your life
figuring out how to use it.

it is really not that bad. I have started with gSOAP (and still use it) and
Java axis and it is pretty easy.
