Tomcat: Strange error

S

Snyke

Well I was tampering a bit with my catalina.policy file to allow a
servlet to access an RMI object, and now I can't get Tomcat to work
properly, even reinstalling tomcat hasn't fixed it.

I really need this back up urgently

try removing the servlet-api jar from your webapps lib directory, as its
already into tomcat's class path in the common/lib directory.

I tried removing both the servlet-api and the log4j jar as this too
appears to be already in the classpath of Tomcat but it didn't work, no
it became still worse :)

Thanks for the tip anyway :)
