Here's the VERY simple java code I'm trying to write:

public interface FileFilterExpanded extend java.io.FileFilter{
} // of interface FileFilterExpanded

And here's the error message. Any thoughts greatly appreciated!!! Frank

The keyword should be 'extends' instead of 'extend'.

I notice the problem is solved thanks to klynn47 and Collin,
but I am curious. What editor do you use for Java?

The reason I ask is that most editors will color keywords differently
to strings, comments and variable names. Something like this..
<http://home.earthlink.net/~patricia_shanahan/debug/index.html#FixedSizedBitSet>

Obviously, it helps greatly to highlight when you have mis-typed a
keyword if you expect them all to be a particular color or font weight.
