I am sorry to put this question up (because it has been asked and
addressed many times) but I have searched and I been unable to solve my
problem. I am running XP PRO Version 2002 SP2 on my laptop. I am
using the Web Matrix Server version 1.1.4322.573 and I am working on
validation which requires javascript. When I try to test my script I
get the following message: Unable to find script library
'/aspnet_client/system_web/1_1_4322/WebUIValidation.js'. Try placing
manually, or reinstall by running 'aspnet_regiis -c'. I believe the
placing manually refers to placing the file in C:/Inetpub/wwwroot. It
is already there. When I change the addressing the aspx file from
/aspnet_client/system_web/1_1_4322/WebUIValidation.js to
C:/Inetpub/wwwroot/aspnet_client/system_web/1_1_4322/WebUIValidation.js
I do not get the error message. This leads me to believe that I have
the correct file but the system is not looking for the file in
C:/Inetpub/wwwroot. Where must I place this file or what must I do to
have the system work properly? Thanks for the help ... Michael
