Hi

Im currently after a software package which will do both hardware
design (state diagrams etc) and also have the ability to carry out
sofware design, includeing object orientated programs.
After scanning the net for a simple package it became obvious that
there is alot to chose from. Can anybody point me in the right
direction for an easy to us package??

Cheers

Design starts and ends in source code. Don't seek a CASE tool that will
somehow offload the work. And try to make your design so simple it needs no
UML. Write lots of tests, so your design is easy to change. Because you can
change it, you don't need to get a design "right" before implementing its
code.

Read /Refactoring to Patterns/ by Josh Kerievski.
