Job Title : Developer Analyst
Job Location : Austin,TX
Job Duration : 7+Months
Roles and Responsibilities :
The consultant will perform planning, management and execution
activities to accomplish the following goals:
A. Analyze technical requirements, system architecture and conformance
framework for those solutions and inspect assigned software issues for
the components assigned
B. Prepare design and technical documents outlining the development
effort
C. Develop according to the DPS Coding and SQL Data Base standards
D. Work with project staff to coordinate System Flow
E. Design and publish reports noting exceptions and/or trends to
convey results of the work
F. Create test cases to document reproducibility, execute and validate
programs for comparison to specifications and applications
G. Perform quality assurance to validate the finish product
H. Create documentation of source code, architecture, design and
implementation specifications
I. Meet imposed milestones of the Project Management Plan
J. Other duties as assigned
II. CONSULTANT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Requirements:
Years Skills/Experience
7 Working with project staff in identifying, defining, documenting
and implementing a Service Oriented Architecture application
environment which satisfies the business needs and requirements of the
agency.
7 Coordinate creation, documentation, and adherence to technical
standards of architecture, design and implementation specification
documents
7 Mentoring technical staff. Must have strong communication skills to
interact with staff, users and management; as well as having the
ability to be a technical driving force within the development group.
6 Must have strong organizational, planning and documentation skills.
This position will need to possess an in-depth understanding of
technical design and be capable of serving as a technical quality
assurance programmer/consultant.
4 Experience modeling business processes utilizing technology
solutions.
4 Knowledge of computer programming in the following languages:
Microsoft Visual Studio or .net, MS SQL Server, relational DBMS (i.e.,
Microsoft SQL-2000, 2003 and 2005), and operating systems applicable
to managing and interfacing a variety of complex databases.
4 Knowledge with Microsoft .Net Framework, ADO.net, VB.net, and C#.
4 SQL Reporting
2 Knowledge in web application development in HTML, .net, SQL
(including stored procedures), Java, XML, and IIS 5.0/6.0.
2 Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle; and experience in
implementing quality management (ISO and IEEE) and process improvement
principles and practices;
Preferences:
Years Skills/Experience
4 Bachelor's degree with computer science or systems engineering
background from a four-year college or technical school preferred.
1 Knowledge of IT auditing best principals and practices. Knowledge
of SLA and performance metrics monitoring, data collection, analysis
and reporting. Knowledge of process documentation and compliance
monitoring. Some experience in conducting IT audits, assessments and
reviews. Familiarity in policy, process and procedure development and
compliance monitoring.
