Using SWF/FLV/FLA files

Howdy,

I have a SWF file that was provided to me that plays an FLV file with a
player skin. On my server it works great with an HTML file. When I upload all
of the files to my customer's server and use it in an aspx file the object
boundaries load but no video. I'm using URL Rewriting on my customer's
server, handling .htm and .html files, which is why the video is in an ASPX
page. Any ideas why it wouldn't work on this other server?

Both servers as Win2k3 Standard.

Thanks!

Are the SWF and FLV being served from the same server (domain)? Flash
security rules require them to be from the same server or a
cross-domain file is required.

I would suggest trying out Charles, it's an HTTP debugging proxy and
has a lot of Flash specific features that could help.

If from the same server you mean are they stored on the same server, then
yes. All of the files are in one folder... I'll check out the link.

Thanks,

I have downloaded and ran Charles. And if I'm reading it correctly, the aspx,
two swf and flv files all downloaded correctly. I'm not sure what I'm looking
for in here. Can you point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

If charles showed that the FLV downloaded fine then there must be
something wrong in the SWF. What I suspected was that it would show
the SWF trying to load the FLV from the wrong location, which would be
straightforward to fix. However that seems like it's not the case so
you'll need to debug it.

OK, Thanks. So back to my original post:
