vala and ruby

Hello,
I wrote an email to Vala team (http://live.gnome.org/Vala), whether is
it possible create Vala's c-code compatible to Swig.

The answer from vala team was:
I've never used Swig, what special C code does it need to be compatible?
We're planning to automatically generate Python bindings (resp.
generate .gidl files to be used by e.g. pybank), so we probably won't
need Swig to access Vala libraries from Python or other languages.

I looking for gidl and ruby but I nothing found. Is it possible use gidl
together ruby?
