Hi.
I have an asp.net web application. Normally when i want to build and run it
I press CTRL + F5, this starts the cassini web server and opens a browser
window where the url is http://localhost:RandomPort the 'RandomPort' being
the same port number that the cassini web server is listening on.
However, as of today, when I CTRL + F5 the port number in the browser url is
always exactly 7 less than the one the cassini web server is using.
I am currently pulling my hair out at a progidious rate and would prefer a
solution whilst I still have some hair. I have tried setting 'use dynamic
ports' to false, but no matter what port number I choose I always get the
error message 'unable to launch visual studio's localhost web server, port
..... in use'
Red Herring : Coincidentally, today I have upgraded my McAfee anti virus
software.
Any ideas please ??
