vs2008 deployment of masterpage.master problem

I used the deploy feature of VS 2008 to deploy (no boxes checked) my website
to another server. The deploy says it succeded and the website is on the
new server but the Masterpage.master did not deploy!!

Anyone know why?

Does the site look fine, or is it messed up. I ask this, as I have never
paid attention to my publishes on this level, and the master may simply be
compiled into the site.

If not, I would look and see if that file or folder is excluded from the
publish. Right click on them and check.

If none of the above, I am stumped. ;-)
