web access failed (localhost)

Hi,

I'm to .NET and I'm trying to create a new asp.net
project on my machine (localhost), however, when ever I
try to do so I get a 'Web Access Failed' error' ->

"The default Web access mode for this project is set to
file share, but the project folder
at 'http://localhost/WebApplication1' cannot be opened
with the path '\\VECTRA3514
\wwwroot$\WebApplication1' .... "

And then it prompts me "What would you like to do?"
(*) Retry using a different file share path:
Location: _____________________
() Try to open the project with FrontPage server
extensions.

I've tried every possible option hundreds of times.
All replies are greatly appreciated!!!

Hello Mark:
Try following and I think you will be ok.

Goto your IIS ( from Control Panel ) and expand Web Sites and select
Default Web Site . Right click and select properties. On the very
first page ( "Web Site") you will see "IP Adress" under "Web site
Identification" . Select "(All Unassigned)" from the combo box and hit
OK.
Now try to create your ASP.net project and let me know.
