Webservices & binary data?

Hi,

We have a database that stores binary data such as word documents.

Can these documents be delivered over Webservices by other applications that
request to view them?

I would like some MS specific articles about how to do this if possible.

Hi Dave,

Yes, it is possible to do what you ask. A bit strange, given that a normal
DAV or HTTP server is better suited for this kind of operation. That said,
you will want to look at SOAP with attachments, WS-Attachments, and DIME.
There should be many relevant examples and information if you seach on each
of those terms on a good tech search engine or on MSDN.
