Ok, this is gonna sound really stupid, and I doubt it's possible, but
is there any way to make a program that'll stop you from typing
certain words? People are complaining that I type lol too much
(especially my gf...lol [see?...lol]), and I also could use it for
other things (which I shall not name here)so...is it somehow possible?

You could use the new "BrainTap" peripheral and send it the appropriate
commands to keep you from typing "lol", however that would not be
standard C++.

You mean you don't want those letters typed ANYWHERE, in ANY PROGRAM? I
suppose it's possible, but it's got to be about the strangest request I've
ever heard. In Windows, you can use a "hook" to trap keypresses, but you'd
have to ask in a Windows newsgroup for how to implement that.

As a design issue, what would you do if the user (you?) were typing, and so
far had typed in the 'l' and the 'o"...what would happen when you hit the
'l' again? Nothing? And what about typing "lollipop", or other words that
contain "lol"? In any case, you're opening a rather large can of worms when
you start messing around with what the user can and cannot do, especially if
that user is not you!

As for preventing YOU from typing in "lol", have your girlfriend stick you
with a fork every time you do it. Eventually you'll learn.

Which sounds like the real reason, and probably an illicit one.
Although preventing someone from typing something doesn't
seem like a useful h@X0r tool, so I can't imagine what. Unless
this were a trojan to be installed on someone else's computer,
and you wanted to prevent them from entering their password,
or something.

Besides underspecifying the problem, this isn't a C++-specific
question. If there is a solution, it could be implemented in any
number of languages. It's really a function of the hardware
and operating system in question, and varies according to
each, so you should look for a forum where people talk about
your platform.

no...not a 'h@X0r tool'...but...well...I'm 13...and there's stuff I do
that I really shouldn't...I'll just say that...

This newsgroup discusses aspects of the C++ language itself, not
platform-specific implementation issues. Check in a newsgroup that
discusses whatever operating system you're using.
