XML and Cdata

hi folks
i am creating a IRC chat engine on fedora 3. I have created my log
files in xml data.
The CDATA tag is there where my irc utterances are there. I want to do
a keyword search on these utterances. Any help how to??

First of all, see http://xml.silmaril.ie/authors/cdata/

When the XML gets parsed, the CDATA disappears and the remaining content
is just text (and can therefore be searched).
