XML scheme

Dear all,

I want to write a XML scheme for many documents. A problem is: some
elements just exist in some documents. Can I make these elements
optional in my Scheme?

I am not certain if i anderstand the question
but
you can (in xml schema) set a attribute
minOccurs="0"
in element which apear in some document in other not
