What you found to be relevant not only for China but also for other
countries is still much more interesting for China because it has a huge
population and a growing economy.

There might be something true in what you wrote...
although I was referring above to something else which has to do with the
different development in different areas in industrialized countries.
China could, (at least in theory) have old computers but many Chinese
people could still be well-off.
In Sweden the internet has developed much more than in Italy so far but I
guess that Italy export more to Sweden than Sweden does to Italy in other
sectors.
In Italy it was quite normal that a doctor would visit a patient at home, in
Sweden it is not...although Sweden is known for welfare..
