While the city slept, dorayme feverishly typed:
Get a blinfold and pretend you are going to play "Pin the tail on the
donkey" and approach a print out of your program and choose a
character for me.

echo "&#".rand(9000, 14000).";\n";

;-)

Cheers,

one fucking command different.
But technically, a for/next loop is one command.

Not only technically, it actually *is* one command. In PHP you have
braces, in Basic it's a start and an end "command". But technically it's
the same. And, BTW: creating an array of numbers with range()
technically is also one loop. Foreach is anotherone -> richards
"application" is more efficient (if you ignore efficientcy differences
of PHP and Basic in general). No matter how many lines that are...

Richard's one-liner looks like a 4-liner, if ':' means a linebreak.

Okay a one-liner.

echo '&#' . join('; &#', range('9000', '14000' )) . ';';

Well so much for BTS's knowledge of php eh?

Your attempt to prove me incompetent failed miserably.

Here is a pokie game, if you have just one go, take a screenshot, have
it witnessed by your mother or a Justice of the Peace and send it to me,
I will pay.

(oh, and you don't get anything for where your browser cannot display
the character right or where the character is too common and a few other
'fine - to the point of secret - print' conditions.)

Opera is annoying in needing some head space, padding does it. Perhaps
Adrienne, a big fan of Opera, might know?

He is just dancing about you in the ring, taunting you, trying to make
you lose your cool. Just watch him calmly, and you may get your moment.
But he is a truck driver remember and they are tough. Plus he might use
the confusion of all the spectators that have climbed into the ring...

Don't know, but here are some strange screen shots with source (Opera 10,
WinXP sp3):

Is Opera stand out different to FF on my URL on Windows?

btw, Adrienne, the effect of the way you display URLs with square
brackets disables the function of command click to link in my newsreader.

My mother died in 1998 and we have no Justices of the Peace in this
country; will our parish priest do?

Sorry about your mum.

About the parish priest, I assume you have won and won big, right? So,
no, sorry, the Parish priest will not do.

A Father, obviously! But just, yes, I think so.

When I was in parochial school, some of our Fathers were mothers, or
perhaps I should say "mutha"s. -Just so.
