Help with Deployment!

I have a web service running fine on my dev machine, and on a server on my
network.
When I try to deploy it to a client, when I browse the ASMX file, I just see
the text in the file.
If I look at the mappings under IIS configuration, ASMX is not there. If I
add it and set the app to the aspnet_isapi.dll, the OK button is not
enabled.

This machine is windows xp, not a server. I want to run the web service
locally on that machine.

Is this possible? What am I doing wrong?

Thank you Youcef, your answer was very helpful!

For anyone else having this problem the exact solution was to run the
following command:

aspnet_regiis -i
