Yea, but now 90% of the sites out there no longer work right, so not

Well, 90% of sites don't work using IE, so if you used to only visit that
10% that works with IE (likely, as you don't know about those others that
don't work with IE), it may seem that 90% of them don't work on better
browser. But you still get 8 times more working pages.

I find this easier to believe than your claim, as I have never seen page
that would work on IE and fail on Opera/Mozilla. If you can find one, you
are very lucky. I bet that still fails with my IE5.5.

Generally they make an entry into the reigstry.
Open the registry and search for "homepage" or the domain name.
Delete all entries found. For the homepage item, you can enter what ever you
like.
