Mr. Gus

It's Billy Ray,
And WE are the WISE One's,
that read in TEXT mode,

Read Email in HTML is a good way,
TO get a virus in, a Microsoft Windows O.S.....

And it You all,
For I am not a Texan,
Who probably use's "y'all",

Your diction and spelling is terrible Billy-Ray.
Stop using *we* because you don't speak for everyone but only for yourself.
It's not called Text Mode, but text/plain.
Stop regurgitating what you have learned by rote.
Know that today there is more to be caught on the web than with html mail.
Nothing can replace smarts when opening a link on or to the web or
opening mail.
But I tire of this for it's like talking religion, politics or to an
inebriated person.

You don't understand that you may present your opinion, but *not* to try
to browbeat anyone into accepting your opinion.

You should really read the links I provided you with.

I'm done with this thread.

I want to compose an email all html.

If i am composing an email in thunderbird I can VIEW SOURCE and I see
where <html> starts after the email stuff. Can I paste any valid html4
in there, with a css in the <head> ? Images are presumably referenced on
a server elsewhere if I need them.

Sounds too easy.

Struggling a bit with this off and on. Things like thunderbird will save
an email as a file but won't open the file as an email. The html
controls are very limited in Thunderbird and composing with a text
editor is a bit laborious .

Is there a better way to make html emails?

SeaMonkey will allow you to compose email in HTML (or plain text).

When you save a "file" the file extension controls what program will
be launched to open the file. Often the "file associations" that control
the connection between extension and program are not the way you would prefer.
