inheritance issue, seems to be sharing data incorrectly

Google is in the search business and the google main search feature
works. I wonder why the groups search fails so often. Google groups'
search *should* work and I think that ought to be a high priority.

I was referring to search, not advanced search. Search usually does not
work.

But OK. Using that advanced search, I'm trying to find the post on
Lasse's clone function:-

What is wrong with my search criteria?

Then they fail miserably on user friendliness. There is no advanced
search link on a normal GG page, I have to click on "My Groups" then
read the tiny text next to the search button. I don't know when Google
searching changed to exact phrase matching rather than any word match,
but it is annoying that they've done it.
