to write a web form front-end that takes the standard command line
invocation and responds with the corresponding HTTP redirect into
the perldoc.perl.org document set. Is anyone up for this?

It is _your_ itch.

Getting other folks to scratch your itch will prove to be
a very hard sell.

Just modify the "perlnurse" program that I've already written for you.

Excellent news, but this project seems to be focusing on providing a
new keyword search feature, rather than a simple perldoc front-end.
Might it be possible to add such a front-end to the existing perldoc
command even before the proposed new -k option is implemented?
