Yes there is. I showed you how to translate it 5 years ago. [1]

I provided you a Perl program to do the translation automatically
in 2002. [2]

It's really not that hard to figure out and remember the pattern.
There are four basic styles to a `perldoc` command:

Deja vu man!

Your whining about perldoc on your crippled system is getting
much too tiresome for me, I'm putting you back in the scorefile.

So long.

Well, if it's as regular as you say, it ought not to be difficult

Then it won't be much trouble for you to do it, so... do it!

to write a web form front-end that takes the standard command line
invocation and responds with the corresponding HTTP redirect into
the perldoc.perl.org document set. Is anyone up for this?

It is _your_ itch.

Getting other folks to scratch your itch will prove to be
a very hard sell.

Are *you* up for this?

Just modify the "perlnurse" program that I've already written for you.

G'day James,

G'day my antipodean distant relative. :)
Actually, a project to provide this is already underway. See:

http://pod-indexing.annocpan.org/wiki/index.cgi

Excellent news, but this project seems to be focusing on providing a
new keyword search feature, rather than a simple perldoc front-end.
Might it be possible to add such a front-end to the existing perldoc
command even before the proposed new -k option is implemented?

Very sorry Tad. I should have done more about it the first time.
Mea culpa. I feel hurt you've down-scored me for this, though,
as I only mention it very occasionally. Three times in five years
isn't really spamming the group is it?

Yes, I think I will.
It is _your_ itch.

Yes, yes, YES! Okay I'll do it. I'll write a web front end
into perldoc so people can reference it in their posts
for the sake of the perldoc challenged such as myself.
Just modify the "perlnurse" program that I've already

I will study it, as I should have done years ago.
I feel ashamed. Sorry Tad. Don't hate me.

I badgered you into doing something for the Perl community.

I feel the ends have justifed the means.

heh.
